Sky Make a DifferenceSky have launched the Smartchange solution as their dedicated employee community involvement site: www.sky-makeadifference.com

Using the Smartchange solution, Sky employees can:

Participate in a diverse range of volunteering opportunities
- Support any UK charity through payroll giving and charity accounts
- Create fundraising pages for online sponsorship
- Support Sky's official charity, The Chicken Shed Theatre Company
- Read news and share stories with employees.

All Sky employees in the UK can access the site over their Intranet or via secure kiosks strategically located around their offices.

Sky is using Smartchange to promote their volunteering policy to employees. Sky gives employees up to 16 hours paid time per annum to volunteer in the community.

James Murdoch, BSkyB CEO says:

Sky people have exceptional skills and talents which make Sky the success it is. We are encouraging staff to share these skills with the communities in which we operate, through our volunteering programme, Sky's 'Make a Difference'. We all recognise that helping to build stronger communities is a key part of responsible business, and this programme will help channel some of the incredible energy of Sky people toward that goal”.

Beryl Cook, Sky Director for People and Organisational Development says:

"Sky Volunteers is a programme where everyone wins. By sharing our expertise and time with our surrounding communities, we can not only make a positive contribution to local organisations that are striving hard to address social need, but we are giving Sky people the opportunity to hone existing skills, develop new ones and practise them in a fresh and stimulating environment. I'd certainly encourage you to get involved."

Vinay Khosla, Managing Director of Vivid Orange, the providers of the Smartchange solution says:

"We are delighted to be working with Sky as the Smartchange solution is a strong fit with Sky's community involvement strategy.
Smartchange will enable Sky to increase employee participation in the community while reducing the administrative costs of managing their diverse and comprehensive community programme.
The community involvement team can concentrate on finding the most appropriate and valuable volunteering opportunities for employees, and help employees raise funds for charities, secure in the knowledge that the entire volunteering and fundraising process is being managed, measured and reported by the Smartchange solution.
"

Organisations with over 5,000 employees wishing to increase employee participation in the community and effectively scale their current community involvement activities should consider Smartchange.” The Butler Group, Europe's Leading IT Analyst Company

Smartchange is the community involvement solution from IT services firm Vivid Orange Limited.

Designed to help large organisations meet their Corporate Community Involvement (as part of their overall Corporate Social Responsibility strategy) objectives, Smartchange is delivered securely over the Internet as a Web-based, hosted application using an ASP model.

SmartGive.com Official Provider to British 10K London Run
VINAY KHOSLA
[18-Apr-2005]

The providers of the well know Smartchange service have launched www.SmartGive.com, their online fundraising and donation website to the public.

SmartGive was previously only available to employees of companies using the Smartchange Solution.

It is absolutely free to create a fundraising page and SmartGive.com do not charge the charity any set up or regular fee.

To mark the launch SmartGive.com has joined with Union Jack Sports to become the official provider of online fundraising and donations for The British 10k London Run and the London Breakfast 5k Run for Women only on July 3rd.

Registered runners can visit the micro-site www.smartgive.com/10krun/ to set up their fundraising page.

Michael O' Reilly, Event Founder & Director said: “Naturally I am delighted that SmartGive.com have become the official provider of online fundraising & donations for The British 10k London Run and London Breakfast 5k Run for Women only. SmartGive.com's approach to charities blends well with our own structure of not penalising charities by charging them more than others to take part in a major international / national road race through the heart of London.”

Vinay Khosla, Managing Director of Vivid Orange Limited, the providers of SmartGive.com said: “The SmartGive service has been well used by our corporate customers for quite some time as part of our Smartchange solution. We felt that the opportunity to become the official provider to The British 10k London Run and London Breakfast 5k Run for Women would be the perfect launch pad for SmartGive.com’s proven online fundraising service to the general public.”

SmartGive.com uses the credit and debit card processing services of The Embassy of Man (registered charity number: 1095202) to ensure a low credit and debit card transaction fee. The low fee is payable out of the additional 28% Gift-Aid that SmartGive.com automatically reclaims on behalf of the charity. SmartGive.com and The Embassy of Man do not charge charities to set up pages nor for providing donor details (where the donor is not anonymous).
