This foundation has been set up in memory of Pte Richard Hunt. A brave 'Welsh Warrior' who was the 200th soldier to lose his life whist serving in Afghanistan.
Our charity was set up in September 2009 and aims to help the Welsh service personnel or those attached to the Welsh regiments and their families.
The purpose of this Charity is two fold, firstly to raise money which will enable us to provided grants for items such as specialised equipment to holidays. These grants will be available to any Welsh service personnel and or their families or those who have served with or attached to a Welsh regiment. Grants will be given at the discretion of the trustees.
Secondly to raise awareness of the forgotten soldiers injured physically and or mentally and to assist in anyway shape or form to expose the REAL cost of war and make sure the politicians are doing their jobs. |

· Organising events to raise money-see our events page for listings of current plans and how you can help us raise money too!
· Procuring and distributing donation boxes, wristbands, T-shirts and other merchandise.
· Our long term goal is to open an activity centre near Abergavenny, with the aim to make it as disabled access friendly as possible, taking into consideration the particular injuries likely to be suffered by soldiers.
· Any other means that we can think of that we can raise money, feel free to make suggestions! info@welshwarrior.co.uk This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
· Finally but not least we aim to raise awareness of these often forgotten 'Welsh Warriors' which is normally hidden from the public's eye. |
