smartgive experienced an issue on the morning of October 22nd that affected the appearance of user data on some of its fundraising pages. We fixed the issue and restored the impacted data. We apologize for inconvenience caused and appreciate your patience and understanding during the downtime.

IMPORTANT: The user data affected on smartgive did not impact the processing of any credit card donations.

Credit card information is never actually entered on the smartgive site itself, nor are any credit card transactions processed via smartgive.

All credit and debit card donations are processed by our processing partner, Charities Aid Foundation (CAF). When a user goes to smartgive and chooses to make a credit card donation via Donate Now or Sponsor Me links, s/he is redirected to the CAF website. 	Description of the charity
	OSCAR provides information, advice and resources for individuals involved or interested in Christian mission work overseas. OSCAR is mostly aimed at UK Christians, whether they are based overseas or in the UK. More specifically, OSCAR is useful for: - Missionaries and overseas Christian workers on the field - Prospective missionaries and overseas Christian workers - Missionaries and Christian workers recently returned from the field - Christians open to the possibility of working overseas/abroad - Supporters of missionaries, overseas Christian workers and world mission in general - Non-UK Christians coming to the UK as missionaries or Christian workers - Anyone responsible for `resourcing' any of the above

	Vision
	OSCAR's vision is to help advance the Christian faith by supporting Christian workers all over the world, but in particular those who are both from and to the UK. This charity's main means of operation is through the Internet and it seeks to provide a comprehensive web service of information & advice for these Christian workers. The primary aim in providing this service is to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of Christian mission work throughout the world.

	Programmes and Activities
	OSCAR began in 1999 and the website has been live since March 2000. Since that time there have been 1/3 of a million user sessions, resulting today in a regular user based of 6000.
